10 Reasons Why Your Business Should Invest in HFHSF
1. Its simple and straightforward:  Habitat raises money, builds houses and sells them. The interest free twenty-year mortgages go into the Revolving Fund for Humanity to build more houses each year. The gift never ends.
2. Habitat offers a permanent solution to the housing crisis. As Habitat gains community awareness it perpetuates its efforts increasing the number of houses built therefore increased mortgage payments are recycled into more housing.
3. Habitat is not a band-aid approach.  Its program is founded on people helping people, on partnerships which cross ideological, political and theological lines.
4. Overhead costs are low.  At Habitat sites volunteer labor comes together from all walks of the community and work to build the home in nine to twelve weeks.
5. Foreclosures are extraordinarily rare.  To date HFHSF has built 31 houses with no foreclosures
6. Habitat builds affordable, decent housing while keeping designs simple and efficient
7. Habitat's work is both tangible and highly visible in the community.  From the volunteers' perspective, it is the epitome of a "hands-on" experience.
8. By selling houses to people who were -in most cases- formerly renters, Habitat adds to the tax base of the community.
9. Habitat promotes responsibility and citizenship in the community through the efforts of our Family Support Committee. The family works along with Habitat contributing three hundred hours of sweat equity, working on their home and others, in the affiliate office or on a committee.  It is a true partnership.
10. Home ownership builds self-esteem, pride and above all HOPE.
